Dear Parents/Guardians:
Please note that there are supply and reading lists coming
home with your children this week. There are also some math
sheets going home for summer math practice as well. The
upper grades MUST
purchase the Summer Math workbooks from bookstores
and these have to be turned in by Friday, September 12th.
Tests on the summer reading books will also be given on this
day. Check the
www.shgsyonkers.org Web site for information. We
will try to have the summer reading lists and supply lists
on there as well as the school summer hours.

We have begun our road to the
“greening of the school” with a change to all
green cleaning product and energy audit June 27th. We
keep you updated as we go along our journey towards an all
green school.
If you have pictures from the play and field day, we would
appreciate if you can bring them to us. Thanks.
Special thanks to all – parents, teachers,
grandparents and staff for making this year so successful.
We could not have had the Firefighters and the puppet show,
the visits for the Bronx zoo where children saw the animals
up close and personal, the play, the tag sale, the Christmas
concert, the 100 day celebrations and other events too
numerous to list.
