April 8, 2008
Dear Parent/Guardian:
Congratulations go out to our 8th grade students
for their behavior at Confirmation. It was a
wonderful ceremony. Special thanks to Ms. Lopez,
Mrs. May and our wonderful Grade School Choir.
The 8th graders will be attending the high
school production of “Damn Yankees”, free of
charge as a way of saying “thank you’ for making
us so proud of them.
Just a reminder that it is very important for
your children to be in school during ITBS
and COGAT testing.
There will be a Parent Workshop on April 16th
at 3PM, which will be conducted by Ms.
Brenda De Esso, our ADAAP counselor.
The subject is “Thriving Teens”, which is
a discussion on how to better communicate with
your teenage child. This workshop is based on
NYU research.
April 11th –
School Science Fair.
Parents are invited to view the projects and
experiments at dismissal time. The first place
winner from 5th through 8th grade qualifies for
the District Science Fair on April 24th, which
we are hosting. All are invited from 3PM to 5PM.
April 15th – Students are allowed
to wear warm weather uniforms. As always, they
are not allowed to mix and match. Please refer
to the Parent/Student Handbook.
