Dear Parents/Guardians:
This weekend there are two
events which involve our school:
1) Celebration of the
Yonkers Vicariate of the 200 years existence of
the Diocese on Saturday at 11'clock at Stefanik
Park with a walk after the Mass to St. Mary's
Church
2) Sacred Heart Grade
School Alumni Dinner Dance at 4o'clock followed
by dinner at the Polish Center. Please sign up
at the office if you wish to participate in
either or both events. It is important for the
school and parish to have a good public
representation.
If your child is not feeling
well, (has runny nose, cough, fever), it is very
important that you do not send your child to
school ill. He/she will be unable to function
and will also expose the other students and
staff members to their illness. Your diligence
in the matter is greatly appreciated.
Some children have allergies
and sensitivities to foods, especially peanut
butter. Out of concern for these children for
whom exposure to peanut butter and its
derivatives becomes a matter of life and death,
please be careful as to what you send with your
child for lunch, snacks and birthday treats.
It is critical that the
emergency card information is accurate. Please
make sure you update the card when changes
occur. Please make sure that we have the proper
information on your emergency cards to be able
to have a sick child picked up. Having emergency
contacts who cannot come to pick up the child is
of no help to us.
Please read all notices
carefully. We still have handbooks that have not
been picked up, even though there have been
three communications with regard to this. Our
WEB site
www.shgsyonkers.org will contain copies
of the Tuesday letters, menus and other notices
as of September 21, 2007.
Also, please make sure that
your children take care of their textbooks,
which are on loan to them. At the end of the
year, if there is any damage or inappropriate
language or anything written on the books, they
will be asked to pay for them.
Sincerely,
- Tatiana Ferraro
- Principal.
