This notice is to inform you that amended immunization regulations for public, private and parochial schools, child caring programs, nursery schools and prekindergarten programs in New York State (NYS) have been adopted and will take effect on September 1, 2016. The final regulations are unchanged from the proposed regulations which were previously published on June 8, 2016, and summarized in the attached letter which was sent to NYS schools on June 24, 2016.
A list of resources to assist with implementation of the new regulations are listed below, and a copy of the 2016-17 NYS Education Department Immunization Guidelines for Schools is attached. The Knights of Columbus offers scholarships for eighth grade students entering Catholic High School. Application instructions can be found at this website.
Applicant must be a son, daughter, grandchild or legal ward of a Knights of Columbus member in good standing of a Council located in New York. Children of deceased members who demise occurred while in good standing are also eligible. Deadline: no Later Than April 1st preceding the September school start date applicant plans to enter high school.
